Campus Visit Grant
SAIC is pleased to offer to undergraduate students the Campus Visit Grant, an annual award of $1,000, renewable over four years at SAIC for a total of up to $4,000.
Incoming undergraduate students who visit our Chicago campus and participate in a qualifying admissions event between June 1, 2026 and July 31, 2027 are eligible for this award when they enroll in a full-time undergraduate program for the fall 2027 entry term.
Campus Visit Grant Eligibility
To qualify for the Campus Visit Grant, a student must meet all of the following criteria:
Admission Status
- Be a new undergraduate first-year or transfer student applying for the fall 2027 entry term.
Event Participation
- Check into and attend at least one qualifying in-person, on-campus admissions-led event between June 1, 2026 and July 31, 2027. Qualifying admissions events include:
- Campus Tours (offered weekdays and select Saturdays)
- Meet SAIC Day—On Campus
- Studio Preview Workshop
- Chicago Admitted Student Reception
- Artbash and Pre-Registration Day
- Stop, Drop, and Enroll Day
- For international students, in-person SAIC events held in-country are eligible.
- Participants in SAIC’s residential (on-campus) 2026 Early College Program Summer Institute are automatically eligible.
Enrollment Status
- Successfully enroll as a full-time student at SAIC for the upcoming fall term (the award will be prorated if you drop to part-time).
Award Details and Usage

- The total annual award is $1,000 ($500 applied to the fall semester and $500 to the spring semester).
- The total cumulative maximum award across your degree program is $4,000.

- Grant funds may only be applied toward tuition costs.
- This grant cannot be used for winter or summer semesters.
- Students may receive only one Campus Visit Grant during their academic career.

- Eligible students will receive an official grant letter via their SAIC application portal.
- This award is forfeited if the student defers their admission to a future term.

To be eligible for subsequent yearly renewals, students must maintain satisfactory academic standing:
- Enrollment: Must remain successfully enrolled at SAIC.
- Completion Rate: Must successfully complete 75 percent of all registered credit hours each semester. A grade of "W" (Withdrawal) does not count against the 75 percent completion requirement.
- Degree Completion: Grant funds will cease immediately once all undergraduate degree requirements are fulfilled.
