Continue Your Journey At SAIC

As a California College of the Arts (CCA) student, we recognize the investment you’ve made in advancing your art and design studies. Though CCA will close at the end of the 2026–2027 academic year, SAIC is committed to helping you continue on your creative journey. To ensure academic continuity for CCA students, SAIC developed a set of exclusive benefits and supports for undergraduate students.

  • Generous Credit Transfers: SAIC offers flexible policies, accepting up to 70 transfer credits for courses.
  • Streamlined Application Process: To get you back on track as quickly as possible, your application fee and letter of recommendation will be waived and we’ll fast-track your application by requiring only an unofficial transcript. See application fee waiver instructions and all transfer application requirements.
  • Competitive Merit Scholarships Guaranteed for all students admitted from CCA.
  • On-Campus Housing Deadline Extended: Submit your housing application and deposit by June 15 for on-campus housing in the heart of Chicago.

    A Long History of Influence

    A Vibrant, Urban Campus

Voted the “Best Big City in the US” by 'Condé Nast Traveler' for nine years in a row, Chicago is a global cultural center that’s full of opportunity. SAIC's campus is located right in the heart of the Loop and adjacent to Millennium Park.

    Interdisciplinary Freedom

Much like the environment at CCA, SAIC encourages students to work across disciplines—from studio arts to design and architecture. We don’t have majors; you can work across disciplines as you complete your undergraduate degree.
