Alum Tizziana Baldenebro (MArch 2018) is helming the United States Pavilion at the 2023 Venice Biennale Architettura.

Assistant Professor Salvador Jiménez-Flores was recently featured in the Chicago Sun Times for completing his sculpture Caminantes, a nine-foot tall celebration of the immigrant experience in Little Village.

Contemporary Practices Visiting Artist Series

Each semester, Contemporary Practices hosts a Visiting Artist Talk followed by a Student Panel where students have the opportunity to engage with our visiting artists through lively discussions. Amazing guests include Jasmine Wahi, Self-Esteem Salon, JJJJJerome EllisIndira AllegraDamon Locks, and Tonika Lewis Johnson.
