Lecturer Yoonshin Park Has Solo Show at the Hyde Park Art Center

School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) Lecturer Yoonshin Park's Hyde Park Art Center solo exhibition, Prompt and Prompted, explores the range and scope of artist books. Recently featured in the Chicago Tribune, the show runs from January 24 through May 10, and will also include hands-on workshops for guests to create their own artist books. The show was curated by Mariela Acuña (Dual MA 2022). 

Park teaches at the Hyde Park Art Center as well as SAIC, and the show features decades of Park’s work alongside a dozen of her past and present students, including alum Priya Deb (Post-Bacc 2025). 

“For Park, the freedom that the medium affords is an invitation to explore alternative ways of being in other aspects of her life,” the exhibition site reads. “What if possibilities for how we live our lives could be as expansive as Park’s definition of an artist book?”
