  • Your ARTICard has been preloaded with ARTICPrint funds in the amount of $12 in fall and spring semesters and $6 in summer. These funds can be used at the Service Bureau, SAIC’s professional digital-output center, or any number of print and copy stations on campus.

  • Use the SAIC General Access Computer Lab located in the MacLean Center, 112 South Michigan, room 901, for current versions of software for digital imaging and video, desktop publishing, 3D rendering, website authoring, animation, multimedia, graphic, and audio applications. 

  • Canvas is a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS), similar to Blackboard, Moodle, etc. It provides tools to help faculty manage curricular resources and communication with students.

Video tutorials are available from your computer, tablet, or smartphone anytime. You will have access to LinkedIn Learning while you are enrolled in at least one course at SAIC.

  • Students receive $5 tickets on regularly-priced programming at the Gene Siskel Film Center, which presents eclectic international, independent, and classic cinema with festivals and year-round programming. Present your student ID at the box office to redeem, or contact filmcenter@saic.edu with questions. The Film Center is located at 164 N. State Street. Current programs and showtimes are available at siskelfilmcenter.org

Campus Discounts

  • SAIC does not manage any parking, however, there are many options in the area. The Mid-Continental Plaza Building at 55 East Monroe Street (between Wabash and Michigan Avenue) typically offers discounted parking for students. Once you get your SAIC I.D. card you will be able to take it there to get a discount parking card at the garage office on level P-2. You can ask at the 55 East Monroe security desk for directions to the parking garage office.
