Academic and Refund Review Board Appeal Form

In situations where a student is requesting an exception to SAIC’s academic or administrative policies or procedures they can complete an appeal form. Exceptions will only be granted if the student can demonstrate extenuating and/or compelling circumstances. Please read the following information before submitting an appeal:

  • State the nature of your appeal and outline any relevant details. Include specific dates, names, and other pertinent information. 
  • Upload any appropriate supporting documentation. 
    • If appealing due to a medical condition, please provide a doctor's statement which includes the dates of treatment/illness and the degree of debilitation.
  • Appeals should be filed with SAIC within one year from the date of the concern for review by the Board. 
  • Decisions of the Review Board are final.

Register to Vote

If you are eligible, you are encouraged to participate in the country’s political process by registering to vote. You are encouraged to vote with an absentee ballot from your home state, or to register to vote in Illinois. In compliance with federal statutes, SAIC makes Illinois and absentee voter registration forms available through TurboVote and distributes this information to students annually via email prior to Election Day.
