SAIC Alums Recognized by Council of Fashion Designers of America

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced recipients of its Fashion Future Graduate Showcase and finalists of the 2019 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, and SAIC alums are among those included. Xiang Gu (MDes 2019) and Emily Shen (MDes 2019) were named CFDA Fashion Future Graduate Showcase recipients. The showcase is a hybrid physical and digital showcase spotlighting exemplary talent to the industry.

Alejandra Alonso Rojas (Post-Bac 2012) is one of 10 finalists of the 2019 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Vogue's editor in chief, Anna Wintour called the finalists, “a true reflection of American fashion – and the world – today, speaking to creativity, community, and sustainability.” The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (CVFF) was established in 2003 to help emerging designers and cultivate the next generation of American fashion talent.
