Your SAIC Email
Beginning in 2022, students will keep their saic.edu email address for one year after graduation. Alums will have the opportunity to sign for an alumni email forwarding service if they wish to have an SAIC-affiated address. More information will be shared here soon.
Please note that SAIC alums who are employees of the Art Institute of Chicago or SAIC are not permitted access to their saic.edu email accounts and digital files when their employment terminates.
Alumni ARTICard and Benefits
Full-degree and Continuing Studies Certificate holders are eligible to receive a free Alumni ARTICard, which grants access to benefits exclusive to the SAIC alumni community. To obtain your ARTICard you must visit the ARTICard Office in-person.
You can obtain your alumni card by making an appointment with the ARTICard Office located in the Sharp Building at 37 South Wabash Avenue, room 254. Please note that appointments are required.

Connect with Alums in Your Region
Request access to the following regional Facebook groups to connect with local SAIC alums: Chicago, New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Texas, The Rocky Mountain Region, India, and Korea.
Alums may access SAIC buildings during normal hours but will be required to wear a mask at all times and will need to show proof of vaccination against Covid-19 ((two weeks beyond the completion of their one- or two-shot series). Some offices or departments may require an appointment so be sure to check with them before you visit campus. Review the Visitor Policy for the most up-to-date policies.
A valid alumni ARTICard and visitor sign-in permits alum access to the Sharp Building (37 S. Wabash Ave.), Sullivan Center (36 S. Wabash Ave.), and Lakeview Building (116 S. Michigan Ave.). To access the 280 Building (280 S. Columbus Dr.) or MacLean Center (112 S. Michigan Ave.), notice of visits and permission from a staff or faculty member are required.
