Bio

BFA, 2013, Florida Southern College; BA, 2013, Florida Southern College; MFA, 2021, School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Personal Statement

My artistic practice explores themes such as healing from body shame, performing beauty as a survival mechanism, and examining gender based sexual violence in both the public and private spheres. In my most recent work, I am investigating the semiotics of lips and butterflies as a way to subvert gendered clichés and critically examine performative gender.
