Bio
Janice Yang earned an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master’s in Education from Portland State University in Oregon. She received her BFA in Illustration from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland after studying at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. Drawing from her experience as a Korean American immigrant, Yang’s practice explores themes of migration, identity, labor, memory, and displacement.
