Gaby Escovar

Bio

Gabriela Escovar (she/her) is an artist and educator based in Chicago, Illinois. She received her BA in Studio Arts from Amherst College in 2014, and her MFA in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts in 2019. Her films have shown in festivals around the US and the world, including the London International Animation Festival, Athens AnimFest, and Outfest Los Angeles. She has taught courses in Illustration and 2D Motion Basics at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design as an AICAD Fellow, and most recently, Comics and Animation for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Early College Program.
