Bio
Adithi Chandrashekar (she/her) is a writer, theatermaker, director, producer and actor originally from Chicago, IL. Adithi’s short film YOUNG CLAUDE was an official selection of NewFest’s 36th annual New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival. She was a finalist for the Writers Discovery Fellowship and a Semi-Finalist for the 2026 Humanitas Carol Mendelsohn College Drama Award for her women’s college basketball pilot, FOUL TROUBLE. She previously worked as a Writers Room Assistant on the TV adaptation of the horror cult classic, Let the Right One In for Showtime and Tomorrow Studios. She is currently developing a dystopic, performance lecture-style live piece that seeks to recover lesbian history from historical erasure called THE JANS. Adithi has diverse writing experience and worked in non- and for-profit settings as a grant writer, and as a marketing and advertising copywriter. She is a graduate of Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law and the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas at Austin where she was a Screenwriting/Playwriting fellow.
