Student Yeefah Thurman Named 2025 Pulitzer Reporting Fellow

School of the Art Institute of Chicago student Yeefah Thurman has been named a 2025 Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow. As part of the program, she will return to Vienna to report on how Black queer individuals navigate shifting political conditions across Europe. A multidisciplinary artist, educator, and facilitator, Thurman uses visual and critical studies to uplift social justice narratives. The Pulitzer Center’s Reporting Fellowships provide student journalists with funding and editorial mentorship to support in-depth coverage of underreported global issues.
