MacArthur and Field Foundations Select Alum Scheherazade Tillet for 2022 New Chicago Cohort

Alum Scheherazade Tillet (MA 2005) was recently announced as a 2022 leader for a New Chicago cohort. In partnership with The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Field Foundation selected 10 leaders whose practice focuses on art, justice, and storytelling while serving communities across Chicago. Each leader will receive $25,000 and their affiliated organizations will receive an additional $25,000 grant. “The common thread across this group of dynamic individuals is their ability to lead, inspire, and empower their communities,” shared Field Foundation Leadership Investment Program Officer analía rodríguez. Tillet is the co-founder and executive director of A Long Walk Home, a non-profit empowering young people to end violence against girls and women.
