Dazed recently highlighted the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and alums Yvette Mayorga (MFA 2016), Isabelle Frances McGuire (BFA 2016), Ricardo Partida (MFA 2020), and Nereida Patricia (BFA 2020). The article covers Chicago’s booming art scene and the artists who are transforming it. “In Chicago, artists initiate interdisciplinary and intergeneration exhibitions in their backyards, basements, showers, and even in their flower vases,” Dazed contributor Vanessa Murrell wrote. “It’s the spirit of experimentation fostered by the city’s academic institutions, especially the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, which cultivates a multitude of talented artists each year.”
