Rob Reddy Joins School of the Art Institute of Chicago as the Vice President for Enrollment Management
CHICAGO—The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), a leader in art and design education, announced the appointment of Rob Reddy as the School’s next vice president of enrollment management. Reddy will oversee SAIC’s enrollment office, encompassing student recruitment, admissions, and financial aid. He will begin his role on July 1.
Reddy has worked in higher education for more than three decades. He began his career in financial aid, eventually overseeing these efforts at Oberlin College for 17 years. At Oberlin, he modernized the department’s communications, assisted in the development of successful retention campaigns, and managed in-depth aid optimization strategies that distributed $65 million in need and merit-based grant assistance. At Northeastern University, he helped to bring in a record number of undergraduate applications.
“Rob brings a rare combination of strategic thinking and empathetic care to the vital work of enrollment—understanding that behind every data point is a young artist, designer, or scholar looking for a place to thrive.” said Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Martin Berger. “I am confident that Rob will not only help us shape the future of our student body, but also be a fierce advocate for the unique, boundary-pushing education that defines SAIC.”
Reddy has also worked as vice president for enrollment management at St. Louis University, where he managed 140 staff members, and he currently serves as interim vice provost of enrollment management at Temple University. At Temple, he instituted a data-driven system of assessment, developed anti-melt strategies, and increased applications by 15 percent.
“I’m thrilled to be joining SAIC, a remarkable institution that’s been at the forefront of art and design for 160 years,” said Reddy. “I’m excited to join this community and work alongside its talented faculty and staff to attract and support exceptional students from around the world.”
