March 2026: Faculty and Staff Accomplishments

Professor Aimée Beaubien curated HOLD, Perspective Gallery’s 2026 invitational exhibition, featuring work by six current SAIC photography students. The exhibition was reviewed by Musée Magazine.

Assistant Professor Dan Miller is featured in the exhibition Imagining Tomorrow at Forum 301, on view through March 14. He will be showing five interactive robotic “Light Flowers” from his Mutual Light project. 

Assistant Professor Nyeema Morgan received a 2026 Grant for Artists from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. 

Professor William J. O’Brien’s solo show, A Ceremony of Faces, is on view through May 22 at the KMAC Contemporary Art Museum. 

Assistant Professor Aliza Shvarts is one of the featured artists in When Thoughts Are Free, an exhibition about free speech and freedom of thought at 601 Artspace in New York City. 

Lecturer Kimberly Viviano’s exhibition Food for Thought will open at the International Museum of Surgical Science on March 13. The show gathers work from her time as the museum’s 2025 artist in residence.

Assistant Professor Pei-Hsuan Wang’s show In Frequencies We Cannot Name: Language, Sound, Silence opened at Brakke Grond in Amsterdam.

Associate Professor Jade Yumang is the artist in residence in the Department of Art History, Visual Art, and Theory at the University of British Columbia through March and will also be a summer 2026 artist in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts
