Gabriel Bump's Novel Included on Chicago Tribune's "10 Books to Read in Winter 2020"

Gabriel Bump's debut novel, Everywhere You Don't Belong, is featured on the Chicago Tribune's "10 Books to Read in Winter 2020." According to the article, Bump began writing the novel during his undergraduate studies at SAIC. The book follows Claude McKay Love, a young Black man from the South Side of Chicago, on his search for identity. Raised by his grandmother, the coming of age story weaves boyhood and race in America as Love prepares to move from Chicago for college.
