Five SAIC Community Members Honored with 2025 3Arts Awards

Five members of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) community were recognized by 3Arts for their outstanding contributions to Chicago’s creative landscape. Honorees include Professor Maria Gaspar and alum Janhavi Khemka (MFA 2023), who received Next Level Awards in Visual Arts; Lecturer Odette Stout, alum Fern Logan (MFA 1993), and Lecturer Jess Atieno Ounga (MFA 2021), who received 3Arts Awards in Visual Arts. Presented annually, the 3Arts Awards celebrate women-identified artists, artists of color, and deaf and disabled artists across disciplines who enrich Chicago’s arts community through their vision, leadership, and commitment to equity in the arts.
