Chairperson Denise Gardner Interviewed for ABC7’s Black & Powerful Series

Denise Gardner, chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Art Institute of Chicago, was featured in ABC7’s series Black & Powerful. In November, Gardner assumed her role as the new chair of the Board of Trustees, becoming the first Black woman to hold this position for the Art Institute of Chicago. “We’re here for the public, not the few,” Gardner shared about the museum. “We’re here so people from all 77 neighborhoods of Chicago can come here, feel comfortable here, and feel like there’s something here for them.”
