April 2022: Faculty and Staff Accomplishments

Lecturer and Continuing Studies Instructor Megan Euker has been selected as a Fulbright scholar to visit Syracuse, Sicily, in Italy. The scholarship recognizes her work bridging art, design, science, and her career in the biotechnology world working with San Rocco Therapeutics to cure sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia. This is the second recognition she has received from the Fulbright Program.

Professor Linda Keane presented “SOUNDWALKING Chicago Waterways” at the event Geographies of Listening presented by the Great Lakes Association for Acoustic Studies and the Midwest Society of Acoustic Ecologies. The presentation can be viewed on YouTube.

Associate Professor Aram Han Sifuentes’s exhibition Who Was This Built To Protect? is running at Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland through June 5.

Emeritus Faculty Member Bob Snyder and photographer Sara Livingston recently completed a short film, One Year Dark—A Nocturnal Covid Memoir, which was named Best Micro Short at the Paris International Short Festival. 

Assistant Professor sonja thomsen’s installation by her own movement is on view at Chicago’s Gallery 062 until April 10. She will be in conversation with Jen Delos Reyes on April 9.
