Alum Christina Ramberg Celebrated at Philadelphia Museum of Art
The Philadelphia Museum of Art honors the School of the Art Institute’s (SAIC) Christina Ramberg (BFA 1968, MFA 1973) with a major retrospective highlighting her psychologically charged explorations of the constrained female form. A leading figure of the Chicago Imagists and former head of SAIC’s Painting and Drawing department, Ramberg’s meticulous works are gaining long-overdue national attention. The exhibition offers a powerful perspective on the female gaze. Ramberg’s influence continues to grow with a feature at the Whitney Museum of American Art this fall.
