Bibliodérive is the application of the Situationist International practice of the dérive or “drift” reapplied to the realm of research, libraries and archives. (Read more on the about page.)

This year we invite the SAIC community to join us back in-person for this unique event that transforms the library through situations and individual exploration focused around different ways of knowing.

Attendees can participate in two ways. One is by adding to and using our deck of prompts, which guides users as they explore and use the library in non-traditional ways. The other is through situations, which are specific performances or projects using the collections and/or library space. If you would like to propose your own situation, you can do so using this form. The full situation schedule is updated on a rolling basis and is available here.
