Civic Engagement

At SAIC, we believe in letting students’ voices be heard. We encourage students to register to vote and participate in initiatives related to Constitution Day.

Voter Registration

If you are eligible, you are encouraged to participate in the country’s political process by registering to vote. You are encouraged to vote with an absentee ballot from your home state, or to register to vote in Illinois. In compliance with federal statutes, SAIC makes Illinois and absentee voter registration information and forms available through TurboVote and distributes this information to students annually via email prior to Election Day.

  • Chicago Elections: A government-sponsored service that allows you to enter your address and view a sample ballot, registration information, and key dates in the upcoming election.

Constitution Day

Each year, the Office of Student Affairs implements Constitution Day initiatives to celebrate Constitution Day, an observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution. These initiatives include campus wide emails, book displays, and tabling to hand out pocket size constitutions. Want to learn more about the Constitution? The Constitute Project examines the origins of the Constitution and highlights the conflicts related to the political beginnings of the United States of America. This information on Constitution Day is brought to you by Campus Life at SAIC. The Campus Life office is located in the Sullivan Center, 36 South Wabash Avenue, suite 1203 and can be reached at 312.629.6880.
