If you are a new student enrolled in a degree program, you can avoid long lines at the beginning of the semester by submitting your photo in advance. You must present a valid government-issued photo ID or passport to pick up your ARTICard.
Express Registration for First Year Undergraduate, Graduate, and Transfer Students
As a new student to SAIC, you can now take advantage of our online photo submission option. The ARTICard Office has created an easy, convenient process for you to do this.

MyPhoto is an online photo submission application that is designed to greatly speed up the process by which new ARTICards are created. Applicants will encounter an easy self-edit process that will ensure that we are able to load your best ID picture onto the ARTICard in advance of your arrival on campus.
Prior to submitting a photo, be sure to read the instructions and photo guidelines carefully. Photos that do not meet the specified criteria may be rejected, and you will be required to restart the process. Upon approval of your submitted photo (and 1-2 business days for processing), you can make an appointment to pick up your shiny new ARTICard!
- New Students living in the 162 N. State St and Jones Hall residence halls —Pick up your ARTICard when you check in at the residence hall during your scheduled move-in date.
- All Other New Students— Make an appointment to pick up your ARTICard and U-Pass in the ARTICard office.
Online Photo Submission Deadlines: You must submit your photo online no later than:
- August 12 for Fall Semester
- January 4 for Spring Semester
Failure to upload your photo online prior to the aforementioned deadlines will require you to have your photo taken in the ARTICard Office (a mirror-free environment with unflattering lighting) upon your arrival to campus on what is sure to be a windy and/or humid day.
Check Your Balance with eAccounts
You can check your ARTICard balances, view recent transactions, and download monthly statements online with eAccounts. Just log in to eAccounts with the link below using the same username and password you use for SAIC Self-Service and your SAIC email. The eAccounts program is not available to Continuing Studies students or alumni.
