Registration and Payment
Children's Multi-Arts Camp: Register and pay online for the Children's Multi-Arts Camps and aftercare. Payment in full is required at the time of registration. Continuing Studies accepts credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa).
Family Camp: Please complete the Family Program Registration Form and email to cs@saic.edu. Once we receive your form we will enroll you into the course and provide you a secure link to make your tuition payment.
Students in the summer programs are expected to adhere to the Rules of Conduct [PDF].
Refund Policy
A 100% tuition refund will be issued one week prior to the session start date. No refunds will be issued after this date. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to cs@saic.edu and include the student’s name, ID number, and course information. Refunds take four to six weeks to process. Note: Nonattendance does not constitute an official withdrawal, nor a cancellation of tuition and fees.
Cancellations and Schedule Changes
Continuing Studies reserves the right to cancel or alter the fees, schedule, or staffing of courses when circumstances warrant. If a cancellation or change is necessary, students will be notified prior to the first class, and students enrolled in canceled courses will have the option of taking another class or receiving a full refund. Note: Courses with low enrollment may be canceled a week or more prior to the start date, thus early registration is encouraged.
Waitlist Procedures for Continuing Studies
If you are interested in registering for a course that is full, we encourage you to add yourself to the waitlist by filling out the waitlist form attached to the individual course online or by emailing cs@saic.edu with your name, phone number, and desired course. We will make every attempt to notify you if a spot does become available in your preferred course for purchase online.
Age Policy
Your child’s age during the time that they are enrolled in a camp should coincide with the correct age range noted in the camp description. This allows your child and their peers to have the best experience working alongside others of the same age range. If you prefer to have your older child enroll in a camp for a younger age range, or to place your 10-year-old in the Children’s Multi-Arts Camps rather than the Middle School Program Camps, you may enroll your child in the next age range down at the time of registration. If your child is enrolling in a camp one age range down due to a disability, please contact the Disability and Learning Resource Center prior to registration to discuss accommodations by calling 312.499.4278 or emailing dlrc@saic.edu.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago is committed to providing opportunities for full participation in all programs for students with disabilities, including Continuing Studies students and Students At Large. Disabled students should first contact the Disability and Learning Resource Center (DLRC) to request reasonable accommodations. To plan for the most effective accommodations, we ask that you contact the DLRC at least two weeks before the start date for your course. For more detailed information about the DLRC and the accommodations process, see https://www.saic.edu/life-at-saic/wellness-center/disability. The DLRC can be reached by phone at 312- 499-4278 or email dlrc@saic.edu.
Allergies and Other Medical and Health Conditions
Parents/guardians of students with allergies and/or other medical/health conditions that might require emergency assistance should complete an Allergy History Form [PDF] and/or Emergency Action Plan Form [PDF], and email them to saic-youth@saic.edu. This information is confidential and only shared with program staff.
