Morton Salt and SAIC Looking for Students "Worth their Salt"
As part of its 100th birthday celebration, iconic food brand Morton Salt has partnered with SAIC to offer scholarships to students "worth their salt." The Chicago-based company is sponsoring Morton Salt Girl Centennial Scholarships that will be awarded to students enrolled at SAIC. Additionally, the company launched a design competition for artists to submit their designs for a new label for the table salt's blue container, and they are seeking submissions from SAIC students. Through September 7, students can enter the contest and submit their work at MortonArtofSalt.com for a chance to win a $1,500 cash prize and two permanent pass tickets to Art Basel in Miami. The design competition will culminate with a public display on September 26 of the winning designs in Pioneer Court on North Michigan Avenue.
