Two SAIC Alums’ Gallery Spaces Spotlighted in the New York Times

Alums Katherine Bernhardt (BFA 1997) and Vincent Uribe (BA 2013) appeared in the New York Times article “12 Galleries That Aren’t in New York or Even Los Angeles.” The article details a dozen “standout non-New York-based outlets” across America. Bernhardt’s St. Louis gallery Dragon, Crab and Turtle and Uribe’s gallery LVL3 in Chicago are among the 12 spaces mentioned. “I think this last year has put some wind in the sails of cultural scenes all across America,” shares John Riepenhoff of Milwaukee’s Green Gallery, one of the other art spaces mentioned in the article. “People are feeling empowered to be anywhere, and not feel like they’re missing out."
