Alum SANTIAGO X Receives 2021 Joyce Award

School of the Art Institute of Chicago alum SANTIAGO X (MFA 2018) and Chicago Public Art Group are one of four winners of the 2021 Joyce Awards, which honor collaborations between artists of color and arts and community organizations throughout the Great Lakes region. They will receive $75,000 to produce and present a commissioned work in collaboration with community members. With this award, SANTIAGO X will create Augment Earth, an interactive digital art experience showcasing Native histories, cultures, and languages.
