The nonprofit Creative Capital Foundation recently announced the recipients of the 2023 Creative Capital Wild Futures: Art, Culture, Impact Awards and the awardees include three School of the Art Institute of Chicago alums and faculty: Katherine Behar (BFA 2000), Bow Ty (MFA 2014), and Lecturer Pamela Sneed.

These annual awards “fund the creation of experimental, risk-taking projects that push boundaries formally and thematically,” offering those awarded with varying grant amounts up to $50,000. The funding is unrestricted in its use, as to allow grantees to spend it in any way they see fit to advance their projects. Creative Capital awarded Sneed for Literature, Behar for Technology, and Ty for Theater & Multidisciplinary in collaboration with Liz Ferrier.
