SAIC Community Members Part of Terminal 5 Public Art Project at O'Hare International Airport

Several SAIC community members are working on a public art project as a part of the Terminal 5 expansion project at O’Hare International Airport. Curated and designed by Lecturer Inoit Behar and 2020–21 William Bronson and Grayce Slovet Mitchell Visiting Professor Andrew Schachman, the $3.5 million project will feature work by alums Jenny Kendler (MFA 2006), Lecturer Yvette Mayorga (MFA 2016), Chris Pappan (SAIC 1994), Adjunct Professor Cheryl Pope (BFA 2003, MDes 2010), Leonard Suryajaya (MFA 2015), Selina Trepp (BFA 1998), Assistant Adjunct Professor Assaf Evron (MFA 2013), Lecturer Mayumi Lake (BFA 1997, MFA 2000), Assistant Professor Hương Ngô (MFA 2004), and Lecturer Edra Soto (MFA 2000). The project presents an opportunity to invest in Chicago artists and is the largest single acquisition of works by Chicago artists by the city in the last 30 years.
