Lecturer Isaac Couch was named The Arts Club of Chicago’s 2023–25 Artist Fellow. He was nominated by SAIC Fashion Council Chair Heiji Black.

Assistant Director of Communications Megan Kirby wrote the story “Thick Mall, a Market for ‘Size L and Up,’ Fills the Gap” for the New York Times. In January, she was invited on the WBEZ show Reset with Sasha-Ann Simons to discuss the article and the state of plus-sized fashion in 2023.

Professor James McManus's essay, "Uncle Sam's Gain: Baseball in Scotland and Boston Amid the 1918 Pandemic," was published by Baseball Prospectus. The essay follows the journal entries from his grandfather, who played and wrote about baseball in Scotland during the 1918 pandemic while serving on the USS Baltimore.

Professor David Raskin appeared in conversation with artist Sam Falls for the exhibition Sam Falls: We Are Dust and Shadow at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland in January.
