The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s (SAIC) Department of Printmedia offers an interdisciplinary exploration of printmaking that prizes experimentation and emphasizes the research and discovery needed to bring ideas to fruition.

When you study in this department, you have access to:

  • The latest printmedia equipment, including offset production printing presses, cameras, a darkroom, bookbinding studio, and a Macintosh computer lab
  • Distinguished faculty who are all involved in at least one other discipline
