Improved Access to lynda.com

To provide you with a more streamlined experience, we are changing the way you access lynda.com. Instead of using a separate lynda.com account, you can now use your ARTIC account to log in, and you can view lynda.com videos on an iOS or Android device using the lynda.com app. (See instructions below on accessing lynda.com using the mobile app.)

If you currently have a lynda.com account, you will need to create a new profile by following the instructions below to access the new features. When creating your profile, you will have the option of transferring your existing bookmarks, playlist, course history, and certificates of completion.

If you don't currently have a lynda.com account, you can create an account to get access to more than 2,500 courses and 116,000 tutorials on the latest software tools and skills taught by industry experts. Follow the instructions below to activate your account.

After you click the above link, log in using your ARTIC username and password, just like you’re logging in to Gmail. If you’re already logged in to Gmail, you may be taken directly to lynda.com.

If you are currently using lynda.com through SAIC and want to migrate your bookmarks, playlist, course history and certificates of completion, click the “I’ve had an account” button. If you don’t want to migrate your information, click the “No, I’ve never had an account” button.

If you have not used lynda.com before, click the “No, I’ve never had an account” button. You will then be logged in to your new profile and redirected to your lynda.com home page.

If you are currently using lynda.com through SAIC and wanted to transfer your information, enter your previous user name and password, and click “Transfer my history.”

If you have forgotten your previous login info, click the “Forgot your previous user name or password?” link at the bottom of the window and follow the instructions. Once you’ve changed your password, return to the lynda.com page and enter your user name and password. Then click “Transfer my history.” If you navigated away from the lynda.com page, click here to start the process again.

 

 

 

Once the transfer is complete, you will be logged in to your new profile and redirected to your lynda.com home page.

App Access

Download the lynda.com app for iOS or Android.

iOS

Select “Web Portal Access.” Enter “saic.edu” and tap “go.”

 

After you tap “go,” you will be taken to the ARTIC single sign-on page. Enter your user name and password, just like you’re logging in to Gmail.

After you log in, you will be taken to your home screen. You can access your bookmarks and history via the menu at the top left.

 

Android

Tap the menu icon at the top right of the app. Tap “Log in.”

 



Tap Web Portal. Enter “saic.edu” and tap “Log in.”

 

 

 

You will be taken to the ARTIC single sign-on page. Enter your user name and password, just like you’re logging in to Gmail.

 

 



After you log in, you will be taken to the app’s home screen. You can access your bookmarks and history via the menu at the top left.
