The Registration and Records Office at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) is here to provide you with information on course registration and access to your academic records and transcripts. We’re your contact for questions related to grading, transfer credit, enrollment, graduation, and more.

Online Registration

All currently enrolled students register online through SAIC Self-Service. Class schedules, course descriptions, enrollment appointments, and registration should be accessed via SAIC Self-Service. Course offerings, descriptions, and links to faculty profiles are also available via our online course search. As always, students may register at their specific enrollment time or anytime thereafter. SAIC Self-Service enrollment will be available 8:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m. CST Saturday–Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST Friday. Assistance from the Registrar’s Office will be available from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. Students not currently enrolled in the spring 2012 semester must first see an Academic Advisor in Academic Advising prior to registration.

Open Registration

Students may register during their priority registration time or at any time thereafter, until the end of the add/drop period.
