Rey Pador is an assistant professor in the Fashion Department. He received his MA in fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. With an extensive knowledge in pattern making as well as design, he has been working internationally as a freelancer for numerous designers. In addition to his industry experience he has been teaching in Belgium, Germany and India. Rey will be teaching fashion design with a strong emphasis on the making of a piece/collection.
Communication is crucial in visual arts and I strongly believe that a good collection tells a story, not only in the design but also in the fabric and cut. I think the more open and honest we are about our true beliefs, inspiration can and will flow endlessly. To not care what someone else might think of you and to naturally discover yourself, is freedom. I would like to facilitate a feeling of freedom, the same I felt when I was still a student. To have someone guide you and not judge you is invaluable.
