Through installation, ceramics and painting, my work explores themes ranging from the women of Middle Eastern myth and pop culture, ancient forms and figures created by the Sumerians and Assyrians of that region and western kitsch. My practice has been a means of processing the diasporic experiences of immigration and shifts of cultural aesthetics through a humorous and playful lens.
