Jessica Tucker (aka Fetter) is a new media artist and electronic musician working in Chicago and Amsterdam. She has performed and exhibited her work throughout Europe and the USA at galleries, clubs, DIY venues, and museums alike. Her multimedia performances and sculptural video installations playfully examine how interactions between bodies and technologies reflect and reshape consciousness. Throughout her work, she emphasizes a tangibly performative use of soft- and hard-ware to remap social media artifacts across virtual and touchable surfaces. Inspired by histories of technology, as well as diverse spiritual and scientific definitions of consciousness, her work poetically reframes the invisible, the vane, and the mundane in our everyday virtual interactions.
