I am pleased to be joining the team at SAIC/graduate program in art therapy. I have taught graduate and PhD. students in clinical social worker since the early 90's. My area of focus throughout my career has been working with individuals, families and groups of people struggling with addiction related issues. Currently, I am the Senior Director of Clinical Practice at JPA (Juvenile Protective Association), providing training and supervision in play therapy, expressive therapy models and Narrative therapy.
I am married to a wonderful woman, Lydia, and enjoy a blended family that includes 5 children and the partners, as well as three amazing grandchildren. I am a graduate of what was once SSA/University of Chicago graduate school of social work. I am an avid learner, which is the biggest motivation for teaching. In addition I enjoy the outdoors, music of all genres, theater and art.
