Alum and Associate Professor, Adj. Aram Han Sifuentes (MFA 2013) was recently spotlighted [15] in The Guardian. The article discusses Sifuentes’s textile work, focusing on immigrant justice in her practice and her new exhibition showcasing sculptures, quilts, and protest banners. “Of course I’m going to use this medium because at the very core, for me, and my personal lived experience, this is about my identity as an immigrant of color,” Sifuentes shared. Sifuentes’s show Talking Back to Power: Projects by Aram Han Sifuentes [16] is on view at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles through September 4.
