Save yourself a trip to Shedd Aquarium and explore our Picture File Aquarium! This hidden gem of a collection was started as a resource to help folks find images before the advent of image searching online.
Items are organized using labels and folders, but this arrangement puts images in new conversations. Take time to consider how labels were applied and organized in a physical system by looking at the original tags. How would you organize these images differently? How are images today similarly organized? What other connections would you make between images? Consider these questions while you discover more picture files located in the cabinets in the back of the library. They are available for any SAIC community member to use!
