Lit 50 is Newcity’s annual list of Chicago's top contributors to the world of literature, “whether they help to get books in readers’ hands, excite the next generation in literary arts, afford writers opportunities to publish, provide storytellers a stage to share their tales, or create environments where writers can make the right connections or just talk shop.” The list features John Rich (MFA 2011), founder of the Chicago Book Expo and Director of the Guild Library Complex; Eric May (BFA 2000), novelist and Artistic Director of Columbia College’s Story Week; Corrina Lesser (MA 2010), founder of LIT: A Poetics and Publishing Salon Series and Director of Programming for Chicago Humanities Festival as well as Director of Chicago’s Printers Ball; and Tim Kinsella (MFA 2010), publisher and editor of Featherproof Books.
