
SAIC alum Gabriel Magliaro (BFA 2003) tells RedEye and Chicagoist that art school shaped the way he runs his business, Half Acre Beer Co. "[At SAIC] I got to experience a range of ideas that tie back to Half Acre and being an entrepreneur...you really have to be proficient, if not good, at a lot of different things and be able to tackle different subject matter quickly and effectively." The entrepreneur created a new brew for SAIC's 150th anniversary. Harshad, a limited edition hop forward kölsch is on tap and in bombers and growlers at Half Acre's Lincoln Square tap room until it runs dry.
