Faculty member Eugenia Cheng is a well-known member of SAIC's innovative community, and her use of baking to teach math and science continues to help her rise to the top. Most recently, ChicagoInno interviewed her on their podcast.
The piece discusses how Cheng started off in a strained relationship with math. "But as she ascended in her career in researching mathematics she became preoccupied with this breakdown in math education, and why people were so uninterested in something that she found fascinating," Karis Hustad writes in the introduction to the podcast.
