In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the DLRC continues to provide support to students via remote and in-person meetings. We ask all students to first schedule an appointment with DLRC staff before entering the Wellness Center and masks are required for all in-person meetings throughout the duration of the meeting.
The DLRC always strives to promote inclusivity and accessibility throughout the SAIC campus community but it is even more important now as we navigate requirements and changes across campus environments as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve. Students with disabilities are uniquely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and maintaining their health and safety is our priority. The DLRC is strictly adhering to the guidelines of the Make Together plan along with the CDC, State, and Local public health guidance pertaining to social distancing, hand hygiene, and mask-wearing.
Scheduling an Appointment
The DLRC staff is on campus Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. All students must have a scheduled appointment to meet with a DLRC staff member. To schedule an appointment, please contact us by emailing at email@example.com or calling 312 499-4278 and you will be directed to a DLRC staff member.
Accommodations During COVID-19 Pandemic
Many changes have been made in order to safely continue to provide access to the quality education you expect. Although we are returning to on-campus learning, changes in course delivery and classroom environments continue and may result in a need to modify your accommodations. We do not assume that students will require the same accommodations as were needed prior to these changes. The barriers that exist at the intersection of your disability and course design may no longer exist or may be different from the original course format. Some accommodations used before may no longer apply and some accommodations not considered before may need to be considered now. Please contact the DLRC as soon as possible to schedule a time to discuss modifications to your accommodation plan.
