New Student Orientation and Welcome Week is $200 and is automatically applied to the new student's tuition bill.

Schedule

The online experience for New Student Orientation will launch in early August with the online Canvas course. Students and families will receive more information about how to access the online platform in July.

Welcome Week programming will be held August 27-29. All programming will follow recommended COVID-19 guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as the SAIC Make Together team. A more detailed scheduled will be released in May.

For more than 155 years, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has been a leader in educating the world’s most influential artists, designers, and scholars.
