Alicia Ortiz holds a Master of Science in International Public Service from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Spanish from the University of Pittsburgh. Her professional experience spans study abroad advising, high school cultural exchange programs, visa and passport processing, and museum education. Some of her favorite international experiences include studying abroad as an undergraduate in Seville, Spain, interning in Mitla, Mexico as an Archaeology Field and Lab Assistant, going on a safari in Tanzania, and snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. She is passionate about travel and cultural exchange and enjoys talking to students about opportunities to step outside of their comfort zone and explore the world.
Alicia was born and raised in Chicago, IL. In her free time, she takes flamenco dance classes and practices yoga.
