Verify your Degree Requirements
For questions or concerns about your degree requirements or completing your degree, please contact an Academic Advisor (for undergraduates) or your Department (for graduates and post-bacc) as soon as possible. Students may also review their unofficial transcript by visiting saic.edu/students and click “Self Service” under “Quicklinks.” Click “My Academics” then “View My Advisement Report, then select 'Unofficial Transcript – Deg Aud'".
Complete your Graduation Application
If you are scheduled to complete your degree requirements by spring 2023 or are within six credits of completing your requirements, please click here and then click “Academic Records” to find “Apply to Graduate". Please complete this application by March 15. Note: December graduates have already received the application via email.
Pick Up Tickets
Only students who have completed their graduation application may pick up tickets. Tickets are available during the weekday beginning on Tuesday, April 11, through Wednesday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Students may pick up tickets from the LeRoy Neiman Center desk, 37 South Wabash Avenue, second floor.
Attire
SAIC does not require a cap and gown for the ceremony. This is a celebratory event where graduates are invited to dress as they feel appropriate. Should you wish to wear a cap and gown, you may order one by visiting herffjones.com/college/saic. Orders are due by April 1. Your regalia will be delivered to SAIC and you will be able to pick it up on May 15 and 16 in the LeRoy Neiman Center.
Clear All Financial Holds
Outstanding holds and balances (e.g., tuition balance, library and media center fines) must be cleared before you receive your diploma. In addition, if you have borrowed a Federal Direct Stafford or Graduate PLUS loan, you must complete online exit counseling at StudentLoans.gov . If you have borrowed a Federal Perkins loan, you must also complete separate online exit counseling at mycampusloan.com. Check your financial status in SAIC Self-Service.
