Fields to Populate for Uniformity on Event Listing Pages

Sub-Title (If applicable)
Summary (Use one sentence, usually the first, from the body content)

Multi-Day Events: For events lasting more than one day, enter the END date into the Date field so it remains visible for the duration of the event.

Notes: Notes regarding a series should be beneath bio/copy/web links in italics (The Sound Department Colloquium Series is a weekly series of…)

Professional Website: Add beneath the bio/copy “Professional Website” and link appropriately.

 

Events

1. Log-in to Drupal (http://www.saic.edu/user and http://www.saicweb03.artic.edu/user)

2. Hover over Content link in black toolbar (top of landing page)

3. Move mouse over Add Content subcategory from drop-down box

4. Right click Event to open in new tab

5. Type event title into Title field

6. Type subtitle into Sub-Title field

7. Summary (Use one sentence, usually the first from the body content)

8. Insert image into Body field, when applicable, then tap Return once before typing text into Body

9. Type (or copy/paste) event information into Body field, beneath image

10. Create a new paragraph after event information for image credit line, when applicable (Format: Image Credit: Steffani Jemison, Video Still, 2014)

11. Click When. ALWAYS "Show End Date."

When in Events

12. Click Where and enter event location (e.g. Address 1 field = Sharp Building, Address 2 field = Room 327. May leave other Where fields blank)

13. If an image has been uploaded intot the body, click on Tile Setting and upload same image from Library. The tile image DOES NOT have to be the same, though.

14. Click Group Settings and enter Group Audience (i.e. Sculpture)

Events: Study Abroad Trips

1. Log-in to Drupal (http://www.saic.edu/user and http://saicweb03.artic.edu/user)

2. Hover over Content link in black toolbar (top of landing page)

3. Move mouse over Add Content subcategory from drop-down box

4. Right click Event to open in new tab

5. In Title field, type name of trip

6. In Sub-Title field, type dates of trip

7. Insert image into Body field, when applicable; Tap Return key once

8. Type (or copy/paste) trip details into Body field, beneath image

9. Click When, uncheck all boxes, and delete any time/date information

When for Study Abroad

10. Click Where and select a location, or leave all fields balnk

11. Click Tags and Metadata, leave Public Program on "None," change Academic Period to appropriate term, and select Study Abroad from Tags drop-down box

12. If an image has been uploaded into the body, click on Tile Settings then Browse and upload the same image from Library

13. Click Group Settings and type "Life at SAIC (3876)" in Other Groups field. Group Audience should be "None"
