Independent Curator Risa Puleo speaks about her exhibition Walls Turned Sideways: Artists Confront the Justice System recently on view at the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston. In her talk, she outlines the frameworks she constructed to create a dynamic portrait of the justice system in the United States through the work of artists, from questions of racial profiling, officer-involved shootings, to the problems of mass incarceration, well as the ethical implications considered while making the show.
